In September 2025, my plan is to continue to explore Eastern Europe over 16 nights, with visits to three countries and one autonomous region, tnone of which I have been to before. My starting point will be Chişinău , the capital of Moldova (shaded grey on the map above), where I intend to spend 4 nights. From there I will make a day trip to Tiraspol (A on map), the capital of a breakaway region of Moldova called Transnistria (or Pridniestrovie in Russian), which is a narrow strip of land between Moldova and Ukraine.
